Description

Ingredients
  • 1 lb Bacon (use a double smoked to get that bbq taste)
  • 2 lb Ground Pork
  • 2 lb Ground Beef (lean 90%)
  • 1 lb Steak Tips
  • 1 cup Banana Ketchup (Filipino Banana Ketchup)
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 9 floz Tomato Paste
  • 14 floz Tomato Puree
  • 9 oz Black Beans
  • 9 oz Kidney Beans
  • 4 tbsp Siracha (adjust to desired heat level)
  • .5 cup Sweet Chili Sauce (Thai Sweet Chili Sauce)
  • 6 clove Garlic (Minced)
  • 2 cup Sweet Onions (Finely Diced)
Instructions
  1. Sauté Bacon until light brown, then add in garlic, and caramelize onions to a light brown color.  Lower the heat when adding in garlic to prevent garlic from burning from the initial heat shock

  2. Add in Ground pork, Ground Beef, and Steak

  3. Mix together Banana Ketchup, Soy sauce, Filipino BBQ, sweet chili sauce, lemon, lime, brown sugar, and honey

  4. Pour liquid mixture, and break up ground meat mixture

  5. Cook for 3 hours on low heat setting

  6. Skim fat that has risen to the top of the chili 

  7. Add in Tomato Puree, Tomato Paste, and mix into meat

  8. Add in black beans, and kidney beans, and continue to cook on medium for 1 hour

  9. Enjoy Chili with white rice, and garnish with green onions
